Hybrid Wind and Solar Power Generation System
This paper describes a solar-wind hybrid system for supplying electricity to a power grid and discusses the technical challenges associated with HRES as well as the scope of future advances and research
Wind-solar hybrid systems can produce more power that is consistent because solar power is produced during the day, while wind power is typically strongest at night. This inherent complementary nature of wind and solar power makes hybrid systems well suited to meet energy demand, according to the report.
Among the renewable options, solar and wind energy are prominent, and their hybrid combination offers an effective solution for power generation. Solar-wind hybrid systems integrate solar panels and small wind turbine generators to produce electricity.
Solar and wind energy are available in large amount and can be considered as reliable source of power generation. Hybrid solar and wind energy systems can be used for rural electrification and modernization of remote area. In this paper, simulation and hardware model of hybrid solar and wind power system connected to grid is done.
The design and modeling of the electrically linked DFIG system with a standalone solar energy source combined with a (beta t beta) converter architecture are presented in this research. A separate MPPT algorithm is utilized for the solar power system, and a hybrid MPPT method is used for the wind energy source.
