Moderator Nikita Chandrashekar, director at advisory Augusta & Co, said the scheme made Hungary an attractive market: “It is probably one of the most advanced subsidies schemes to bring energy storage forward. So from a revenue perspective, perhaps, unlike some other markets, the business case in Hungary seems pretty well developed.”
Mandatory off-take of electricity 3.4.6 In Hungary, a mandatory off-take regime supports investments in RES projects. Under this regime, a certain amount of electricity generated by renewable sources during a given period of time must be taken by MAVIR at regulated prices.
Talking about the stability of Hungary's oil and gas supply, the minister said the majority of fossil fuel shipments now arrive from the south, the complete loss of imports from the east does not pose an immediate risk to supply security.
