Ireland has lifted a de facto ban on connecting new data centers to the electricity grid around Dublin — a move that gives the industry long-awaited clarity on the requirements for building new facilities. Deputy Louis O'Hara asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the safety and environmental regulations in place for battery energy storage system facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
